Renault’s Estafette was produced in many variants for market people, hand crafter, postal services, police and there was many special body versions, for example furniture transporters from Teilhol or the ones with Camping out fit from Autostar – and not to forget all the Estafettes converted on a private basis

Following models was offered:

From 1959

Four models, Van low version, Van high version, pickup and windowbus “Minibus” with 8 passenger sites
Delivered in two types:
R2130 (600 Kg )
R2131 (“zone bleue” 500 Kg )

From 1962

Four models, van low version, van high version, pickup and windowbus “Alouette” with 8 passenger sites
Now also with Hinge-door on driver side, or as long versions (for the high version = one additional roof segment)
The maximum load wight was increased to 800 Kg
Delivered in four types:
R2132 pickup,
R2133, “zone bleue” 500 Kg as van in low and high variants and as windowbus “Alouette” – plus as pickup
R2134, van “Estafette 1000” (from 1965)
R2135, van “Estafette 800”

From 1968

Four models, van low version, van high version, pickup plus windowbus and “Microcar” with 8 passenger sites
Delivered in two types:
R2136, “Estafette 800” (800 Kg payload)
R2137, “Estafette 1000” (1000 Kg payload)

Model Upgrade 1972 & 1976

1972 with double circuit brake system and angular radiator grill (unfortunatelly the ventilation flaps was left away )
1976 with bigger radiator, electrical ventilator and transparent expansions vessel

Estafette Admission figures Switzerland

In total, some 1540 Estafetten were registered in Switzerland between 1967 and 1980 (initial registrations). Ø Approval period was 12. 5 years. 2020 were still about 20 licensed
